Across the country, school boards are facing new challenges from candidates who don't reflect the values of their communities. Franklin County deserves experienced, steady leadership — not political games with our children's futures.

Teachers are the backbone of our schools. Paige advocates for competitive compensation, manageable class sizes, and professional development that keeps talented educators in Franklin County.
School board decisions should be made in the open with community input. Paige believes in accessible meetings, clear budget reporting, and listening to the families the board serves.
From co-founding the Franklin County Boys & Girls Club to supporting local organizations, Paige knows that strong schools are built with strong community ties.
Paige Sayles holds a B.A. in Social Work and a Master of Social Work. She began her career working with children and individuals with disabilities in group homes, particularly those with dual diagnoses. As a mother of four sons — all Franklin County Schools graduates — she became deeply involved in the school system through PTA organizations before stepping up to serve on the board.
In spite of limited funding, the board has made steady progress under Paige's leadership — strengthening academic performance, supporting educators, and managing resources responsibly. She brings experience, fiscal discipline, and a clear focus on student success.
During her tenure, Paige was invited to join the Board of Directors for the North Carolina School Boards Association, where she served as President and currently sits on the Past Presidents Council. She also spearheaded a countywide effort to establish a Boys & Girls Club in Franklin County — now celebrating its 20th anniversary — and manages the Blue Collie Coffee Shop, which provides meaningful employment for young adults with special needs.
"I readily admit I don't always know all the answers — but I do have the skill to put on my listening ears, hear the questions, and work to achieve agreement for the children of Franklin County."
"Experience matters, and having served side-by-side with Mrs. Sayles for many years I can attest to the fact that decisions were always made with open ears and with the best interests of students, staff, and families. I believe Paige will continue to provide the type of leadership and dedication to that position."— Bernard Hall, Former Franklin County Board of Education Member
"I am proud to be a graduate of Franklin County Schools. Through an interdisciplinary education, I had access to advanced coursework, the musical arts, and leadership opportunities that prepared me for success in higher education. As a graduate of NC State University with a B.S. in Agricultural Science and a current master's student in Agricultural Education, I owe much of that success to the foundation I received at Bunn High School. I am grateful for the dedication of community leadership like Paige Sayles and am confident in her ability to continue serving the next generation of Franklin County students."— Lance Williams, Bunn High School '23 · NC State University '25
